Jacobean inspired gown

Lady Tarantula | Second year | Project two

This gown was part of Aub marking the 400th Anniversary of the death of Shakespeare. This was one of my second year projects where I was expected to work independently.

La Traviata

Violetta | Final year | Project three

Violetta's opera gown was my personal project as part of my final degree.  It's design was inspired by gowns from various productions of La Traviata worldwide. Working to a tight deadline, I designed and constructed this gown using a wide range of fabrics and techniques, including flat pattern drafting and draping. The underpinnings are all historically accurate.

I am organised, professional and always conscientious of others while being able to work to tight deadlines, prioritise work, multi-task and work under pressure. I have experience in pattern drafting, cutting and draping, costume construction, breaking down and sourcing.  In addition I have experience at working as part of a team, project management and budgeting. I am also extremely confident using industrial and domestic; sewing machines, overlockers and irons.
I approach each challenge with enthusiasm, desire to learn, and a positive attitude. It is this, combined with my strong skill set and experience, that I think would make me a valuable addition to any company.
